The Milky Way Galaxy is seen here in late July from the Going-to-the-Sun Road not far from Logan Pass. Looking west in the McDonald Valley, the milky way lines up directly above Mt Cannon. Also visible is the peak of Mt Oberlin of the left, and Mt Stanton is the tiny peak on the right. Long exposures allow you to capture many stars under clear dark skies in Glacier National Park.
